Danilo Luiz Da Silva was, alongside Fábio Coentrão (who has been already loaned out this season), one of the weakest full-backs that Real Madrid has ever had, in my opinion. He was terrible in defense and half-good in attacks. The thing that annoyed me the most though, was that when he played, he made me feel like he is not giving himself entirely to the game, and is using only about %50-60 from his abilities. His game was never aggressive as far as I can remember, and he didn’t impress with his skills either.
Manchester City, however, saw something in Danilo and signed him for around €30M, which is the same price for which he arrived back in 2015 from Porto. This is excellent business for Real Madrid, which has sold a second-tier right-back, who hasn’t shown anything spectacular during his stay at Real Madrid. His departure also leaves room for other defenders to help the team improve in the next seasons.
I’m delighted about this move, and I wish him good luck and once again Farewell DANILO!
